Meet our management
Sampie obtained B Com (Hons) in 1979 at RAU where he acted as vice chairman of the
House committee and Treasurer of the Student Representative Council. In 1980 he
qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He specialised in computer auditing and consulting
and is a member of the Computer Society of South Africa. After completing his articles
in 1982, he spent a year as a senior lector at RAU, where after he returned to the
audit profession as a partner in an audit firm.
He also acted as consultant for projects for various listed and non-listed companies,
banks and parastatal institutions.
In 1991 he established a computer services company and since 1999 operates NuPayment
Solutions (Pty) Ltd as a joint venture with Absa.
Currently he is involved with various developments and business ventures that include
a golf and driving range, a debtors management company and a credit reference bureau.
In 1981 he started rugby refereeing and retired from active refereeing in 1995 as
a Pirates League at the Golden Lions Rugby Union. From 1997 tot 2002 he also acted
as Chairman for the Golden Lions Rugby Referee Society and presently is a life member
thereof. In 1999 he was elected as a Vice President of the Golden Lions Rugby Union
and in 2004 appointed as Chairman of the board of directors of Ellis Park Stadium
(Pty) Ltd.
Keith was a senior consultant and director during his consulting days with ITAS
Services. IT experience spanning more than 20 years. Keith was based in Port Elizabeth,
Durban and Cape Town and was responsible for the support of the client base and
staff in these coastal regions. He moved to Gauteng in 2000.
Since 1993 Keith has been involved at the implementation of various integrated systems
at corporate clients. He specifically specializing on the financial areas and has
a vast experience in this field, including banking and cash flow management systems.
Since 1999 Keith has worked as operations director of NuPay. He has been involved
in growing this company from a start up to the huge success it is today. Vast experience
has been gained in the transaction-acquiring arena. Areas of responsibility including:
Having spent a year working overseas, Candice joined Itas Services in 1994. In 1995
the need arose to start a marketing division and Candice was appointed to start
and develop the division, mostly concentrating on public relations and development
of new clients and existing clients.
When NuPay was started in 1999, Candice took over full responsibility of the sales
and marketing aspects for NuPay. The department has two distinct functions, namely
sales and client retention and relations. This had proved to be a very successful
department.
Candice was appointed a director of NuPay in 2003.
